Teachers are acidifying different water samples by blowing air into them. Exhaled air has high CO2, which dissolves in the water. The water samples differ in their alkalinity or buffer capacity to pH changes, which can be observed through a color indicator. The experiment was directed by George Waldbusser (half visible on left margin).
